Well, we are quick approaching the 18 month mark. Man is it going fast. Zach is running, and starting to talk. Vinnie and him were playing catch with a football tonight, and Zach caught the ball twice on his own! This is a huge deal he was so excited. He is also talking a little. At one point he had missed the football, and it had rolled under the can and he muttered "Oh, man!"

He is quickly learning the parts of his body, and able to point to them when we ask, and when reading a book, and can moo like a cow and say meow like a cat. These things may seem minimal, but to us they are absolutely amazing!

As for Vinnie and I we are staying busy. I have a couple of weddings to shoot coming up this year, and senior pictures to take. I am taking two more classes. Another math (I have one more required), and an anatomy. We just started on the 8th, so it's going great for now:) Vinnie is staying busy at work. He is driving for the Mishawaka store and the Elkhart store. I don't mind it too much because he is paid by the hour, and it's nice to have the extra money.

I am headed to Missouri this week to help Chad and Tiff move. I am sad that they are going, but so excited for them. It's a great opportunity for the both of them. Jess is also going to stay with them for a couple of weeks to see if she can find a job, becuase we all know that in Michigan jobs are few and far between. I guess that's it for now. Take care all!

16 month Pictures

Super 16

So, my baby is 16 months not, Vinnie says I need to quit calling him a baby because he is now a toddler, but I tell him that Zach will always be my baby. (Especially because we think that this will be the only one.)

He is running, sort of, he starts, gets ahead of himself, then falls. He has gotten a couple of molars in, one of which looks too big for his little mouth. Thankfully, he eats like his dad, not picky. There are some things he won't eat, and I think that it's more the texture than taste right now. He eats cherry tomatos like they are candy! He sees the little plastic pastic, and starts beaming with his cheesy little smile that he does. It's wonderful!

My mom and dad found a house, I call it their dream house. They moved to Fulton and have the "farm house" as my grandma would put it. There are two barns, one of which my mom has conveintly told my dad that is his barn, and as further put the extra stove and fridge in it. She tried to put a washer in as well, but she doesn't have a hook up to do it. Dad's barn is big enough to hold his drag car, and double as a second home, so it works out well. They have almost 3 acres of land, so pleanty of room for the dogs to run free and be happy!

As for me, I'm starting to get more photography business, but am willing to take more, so if you or someone you know needs a photographer, let me know. I am back in school for the time being, I should be finishing up math here in the next week or so.

Chad and Tiff's wedding is a mere 3 weeks away, and they both are getting anxious for it. It's so cute to see my brother so excited! Dannielle, Jason, and the baby are doing great. Jaydan is now 2 months old. Even that is going quick. Jess is still at home with mom and dad, and loving every bit of the new home as well. She is currently my assistant for wedding shoots, and looking for a more steedy gig. I love the help that she has provided though.

Last, but certainly not least, the Love of my life, Vinnie, keeps getting praise at work. I had called his boss the other day to find out a weekend where he would be off so I could take him to Chicago, and it was just a great time talking to him to find out how "proud", I guess you would say he is of Vinnie. So, we have decided to not transfer Vinnie closer to home, but to move closer to work. We have started looking for houses in Niles, and Edwardsburg. Hopefully before Christmas we'll have found and moved into something.

Until next time...

Zach on the Trampoline

Update

So, I'm just not very consistent with this thing. Here is what is currently going on in the life of the Oles'

Zach cut his first molar, man that was so hard, I imagine more for him, but Vinnie and I suffered through it too. I think that it is finally all of the way through. He walks like a champ and is on his way to running. His motivator for running right now is either the back hoe, or the lawn mower.
He has started pointing at things that he wants and grunting. We have started telling him what things are before we give them to him. He still only says some words, and of course, I spend all day with him, and sure as poop, he says dada, and not mama yet. I am sure it will come soon though.
He loves to be outside, and goes balls to the wall for the door. He gets so upset when he can't go outside. He plays very well in the grass, and loves to play soccer and toss. We finally introduced fish sticks to his diet, and he couldn't get enough of them. We have slowly been introducing high allergen foods, In March we got the okay, so we started him on eggs, and he's isn't a big fan. In May we did the fish sticks. Sometime this month we are going to try peanut butter. He is getting more independent with his eating, he wants to do it by himself, so instead of fighting it, we strip him to his diaper, and let him go. More often than not there is more on his body than in it, but it's worth the lesson learned.
Now, as for Vinnie and I, Vinnie, is still doing delivery, and enjoying it. As for me, I am headed back to school this month with one class, and then is August I will have three. I'm kind of nervous, but incredibly excited at the same time.
I became an aunt on May 8, 2009 Dannielle and Jason had Jaydan. She is healthy and beautiful, and Dannielle seems to be a pretty amazing mom.
Chad and Tiff are getting married in August, and I am honored to be doing the pictures for the Wedding. I am so proud of them both. They are also looking for a house. I guess they have they're eye on something, but I don't know if they've put a bid in or not.
I guess that is all of the big news, oh, and I have been pretty successful with my diet, 20 pounds last month, and I'm shooting for another 20-25 this month YAY!

It's been too long!

So, it's been a long time.

Zach has turned a year old, he is FINALLY off of formula and on to regular milk! He still eats table food like a champ, and now has decided that he doesn't want any help eating, he can do it himself.

I am currently away from the hubbs and in Sturgis until probable the middle to end of April. My mom is having her second knee replaced (on the other leg, so she'll have two fakes) , and is going to need some help after the surgery. I came up a week early just to kind of get things organized, and get Zach settled in before all of the chaos. The reason for the additional length is Dannielle. The doctors moved her due date up another week, and she is now 35 weeks. With all of the problems that she has been having during the pregnancy, I have a feeling she is going to have the baby early, and she has asked that I stay with her the first week after she gets home.

I am going to be getting to do Dannielle's maternity pictures, and Zach's one year pictures this week, so when I have finished, I will try and get them posted with hopefully news of Zach finally walking on his own:)
For now, take care.

Monday, February 9, 2009

Hello to everyone,

Zach started walking last night, we got video of it. He doesn't quite start on his own, but he's starting to catch himself when he falls, so, I'm guessing that by his 1st birthday he'll be walking.

There isn't really too much going on. Zach is a great eater, Vinnie was eating some grape tomato's today, Zach crawled right over to him, and continued to eat half of Vinnie's tomato's. (Yes, the Dr. says that it's okay.)

He got his first black eye this week, he has those stacking rings, he was pushing one across the floor, and tried to stand up, with a coffee table next to him, putting all his weight on this ring with no grip. His eye and the corner of the table met, fought, and the coffee table won. Zach cried for the longest time. I thought that that was the worst day.

So with that, I bid you all good night.

10 month update

So, the little man is 10 months old today! Oh how quickly the time has flown! He is crawling and getting into everything! He pulls himself up into a standing position, and walks along whatever he has chosen for his crutch. He has a cold right not, but it seems to be breaking up. I have dubbed myself the queen of snot wiping.
Zach loves to dance, and is able to find the beat of just about anything he listens to. He loves music, and the instant he hears any sort of music he is dancing, and singing(well baby singing.) He has started to wave at us when we wave to him. He is trying to talk, but it hasn't happened yet. He kisses, you know the open mouth slobber filled kisses, but he knows what a kiss is and if you ask, he is more that willing to give you one.

Things that I have learned in this short period of time.
Someone needs to invent child restraints for changing tables. Zach has become a magician and is able to maneuver himself out of any strong hold I may have on him during a diaper change and sits up. This causes a secondary problem... Poop, he doesn't care if his hind end is clean or dirty during his illusion, he just wants to sit up. Eventually we get finished, but I think restraints are a brilliant idea except I think they may be a form of child abuse thus keeping changes tough from here on out.
I have also learned that if Zach is going into the tub, although it is cute to watch him walk around naked, and he may have just peed, the minute he hears that water he has to go again. So, keep the diaper on until he goes into the tub. The other day, I was getting him ready, and he had crawled over to the tub (naked of course), pulled himself up stood next to the tub, and proceeded to pee down the side of the tub.
The most important thing that I have learned is how much fun it is to be a mom to such a smart, fun, and loving child. I wouldn't change anything. It's the little things that he does that makes me laugh, and makes the whole experience worth it.
So, that's it for now, I'll update his pictures and post them later.
